The following activities are not allowed unless you are an officially licensed partner of the Cape Town Treasure Hunt:
• Commercial searching operations or services
Including, but not limited to: guided tours, paid searching services, tour groups, organized expeditions, or any searching activity conducted for commercial gain.
• Commercial exploitation of the hunt
Including, but not limited to:
– Selling maps, hints, or search-related materials.
– Organizing paid guided searches or experiences.
– Creating commercial products or services connected to the hunt without written permission.
– Producing media content (such as documentaries, podcasts, monetized social media, or books) that commercially profits from the hunt without a license.
Become an Official Partner
Tour operators, guides, and local businesses can apply for an Official Treasure Hunt Partner License.
This license grants you:
• Permission to run treasure hunt–related tours and experiences.
• Exclusive promotion as an official partner across our website and marketing.
• Access to co-branded materials and resources.
